Bishop Athanasius Schneider Visits SSPX Seminary in USA

Edit: Interesting news. More talk about an impending resolution.

On February 11, 2015, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary bishop of Astana in Kazakhstan, met with Bishop Bernard Fellay, SSPX Superior General, and also with several priests of the Society, at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona (United States).
This was the second visit by Bishop Schneider to one of our seminaries. On January 16, 2015, he had visited the St. Cure d’Ars Seminary in Flavigny (France). Both meetings pertained to the question of the liturgical reform of Paul VI and the doctrinal presuppositions of the Novus Ordo Missae.
On December 5, 2014, Cardinal Walter Brandmuller, President Emeritus of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences, had visited Sacred Heart Seminary in Zaitzkofen (Germany), where the discussion focused on the magisterial authority of Vatican Council II.
These meetings are a way of continuing the doctrinal discussions between the Society of St. Pius X and the Roman authorities « in a larger and less formal context than that of the preceding meetings », according to the decision made during the meeting of Bishop Fellay with Cardinal Gerhard Muller, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on September 23, 2014.

The Society of St. Pius X Nears 600 Priests

Edit: from the Society's US Site featuring the ordination of 7 new priests and 5 deacons.  There were over 1,000 laity in attendance for this glorious event.  The harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few, and in a Church which has become a vocational desert in the years following the New Springtime, there are oases.

As of Friday, June 13th, the Society of St. Pius X has 12 reasons for rejoicing. For on that day, in continuance of the SSPX's mission to form priests, Bishop Bernard Fellay ordained 7 new alter Christi and 5 deacons at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona, Minnesota.

The seminary has published on its website not only a gallery of images of the ordinations, but also a list of the First Masses that the newly-ordained priests will be offering. Also available via DICI is an audio recording of Bishop Fellay's ordination sermon.

For our part, we offer a photo gallery of Bishop Fellay while at Winona, which can be viewed below.
Please keep these new priests and deacons of the Roman Catholic Church in your prayers, that they may faithfully serve their Divine Master in His vineyard for the salvation of souls.
Edit: also, in Zaitzkofen/Oberpfalz. On Saturday, the 28th of June, Bishop Tissier de Mallerais will ordain five priests and three deacons.  The ceremony will begin in the castle garden at 9 in the morning. In addition to those named above, Bishop de Galarreta will ordain eight seminarians and a religious to the grace of the priesthood and seven others to the rank of deacons of Holy Mother the Church in Ecône. This will bring the society in the near future to more than 600 priests.

SSPX Has Productive Meeting Discussing Vatican II With Diocesan Clergy

Meeting in Diocesan Seminary

[Pius.info] The Society of St. Pius X in Germany offered regular places at priest conferences for Pastors and Chaplains for Diocesan pastoral care.

Last Monday the most recent meeting in Zaitzkofen in the Seminary of the Heart of Jesus ended.

13 Diocesan priests, who are friendly to the Society, had taken part.

"It was a meeting in an atmosphere with many enthusiastic discussions and a very lively, brotherly interaction,"  said Fr. Franz Schmidberger.  "We are very solicitous for contact with Diocesan priests," also stressed the District Superior of Germany, who had travelled from Stuttgart for the meeting himself.

The theme was Vatican II and its consequences.  The lecturers were the faculty of the Seminary of Herz Jesu.

The Germany District  had brought a priest, to take care of contacts with the Diocesan priests, Fr. Robert Schmitt. (See photo)

He was also present at the meetings and showed himself very pleased over the spirited interest of the priests in the Tradition of the Catholic Church.

Priests involved in pastoral care in the Diocese are heartily invited to get in touch with him.

Zaitzkofen: SSPX Invited to Diocesan Priest Meeting to Discuss Vatican II

Edit: one more conceivable reason why Archbishop Müller, whose Diocese this was, was called to Rome to occupy what looks increasingly like a symbolic office. This would never have happened when he was the Ordinary here.

(Zaitzkofen) The seminary Herz-Jesu has invited the Society of St. Pius X to a Diocesan priests meeting.

Theme:  Second Vatican Council

Speaker:  Lecturers of the Seminary

Monday, the 26th of November 2012

It will begin at 10:30 and last till 4:30.  Respondy by 17 November 2012, in Zaitzkofen.  (Priestly Seminary Herz-Jesu, Zaitzkofen 15, 84069 Schierling; Tel. 09451/943 190).

The Pastors, chaplains and priests, who are active in pastoral care are invited.

The Society of St. Pius X has entertained contact with all priests in Germany, who are interested in Catholic tradition.  In 2011 17 pastors and chaplains participated in a lecture on the Latin Breviary in the Seminary of Herz Jesus.

Since March of this year the Society's Father Robert Schmitt was officially authorized to maintain contact with Diocesan priests.

The largest action of the Society was the sending of the DVD for learning the Catholic Sacrifice of the Mass.  In 2007 the Society personally wrote 17,000 priests in Germany in order to offer them this DVD.  There were 2,000 DVDs ordered.  The reason for the action was the Motu proprio, Summorum Pontificum of Benedict XVI, which had freed the traditional form of Mass again.

SSPX Ordains 2 Priests in Regensburg Diocese

(Zaitzkofen)  Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta has ordained two priests, Franz Amberger and the Czech Ludek Cekavy at the Priestly Seminary of the Heart of Jesus (Zaitzkofen).  Auxiliary Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta preached in French which was translated into German by the Rector of the Seminary, Father Frey.

The Bishop preached about the priesthood:  The priest has been chosen from among men to mediate the divine for men.  His mission is primarily of a supernatural nature.  The center of the priestly life is the Holy Mass.

He complained that the Bishop of Regensburg was named yesterday (30 July) [sic] to be the head of the Congregation of the Doctrine and the Faith, even though he denied Mary's perpetual virginity.  It is not acceptable that the leader of the Congregation holds a heresy.

Upon this [the Virgin Birth] it did -- says Msgr Muller -- "not  deviate from physiological particularities in the natural process of birth (such as something like the non opening of the birth canal, the non-injury of the hymen and not experiencing the pains of birth), rather it's in the healing and saving influence of the Grace of the Savior on human nature."

Bishop Muller ordained five priests on Saturday.
