Before you get outraged and call the Catholic League....

Ask yourself, how much of this has been made possible by the fact that enough of our priests have been acting like rabbis for the past six decades? In the past, tracts like Maria Monk relied on an ignorant Protestant population being shielded from the Faith for success. You can't even pick at minor details in this video. For example, the priest is offering Mass in a black suit and collar. But, I'm sure this has happened at a Nervous disOrdo parish somewhere with a lectern placed in the middle of the sanctuary aping the Calvinists. The only thing that could still leave us incredulous is all of the people going to confession and a priest talking about Hell. That's libelous.

A Tale of Two Clergypersons

Edit: as noted earlier by Novus Ordo Watch, Archbishop Gänswein was a gatekeeper and approved of this non-sense. Father West has also still not taken his post down.

Edit: remember when Bishop Rogelio Plano was arbitrarily dismissed and had the door slammed on his face when he came to Rome shortly after to ask why, and died shortly after?  It was clear to us then that it had to do with him calling out one of his fellow bishops and accusing him of being an aberrosexual, as well as being a victim of his own success, growing more vocations in this seminary than all the rest combined. Even the Vatican admitted it had nothing to do with accused predator, Carlos Urrutigoity.  Now, we have a similar situation where another conservative priest is taking a stand against the post-Conciliar behemoth.  I think we know how this one will turn out. If it hasn’t happened already, expect a concerted attack from the usual creatures of the USCCB on Father Peter West, President of Human Life International, in the social media. Father West has a large following on Facebook himself. This won’t end well.

Here is Father James Martin, the Jesuit who had a hand in planning the blasphemous Met Gayla, with Cardinal Dolan. We expect he will go far in today’s Vatican with its aberrosexual meth parties. It’s certainly a Vatican which increasingly appreciates and extols these kinds of histrionic and blasphemous invasions of the world on the things of the divine.

Cardinal Dolan Calls Upon Clinton to Apologize

Clinton's election director Podesta has offended Catholics in internal -- Cardinal Dolan: These utterances are "condescending and offensive"
United States (kath.net)
The New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan (archive photo) has asked the US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to apologize to Catholics for comments by their campaign director, which were revealed by Wikileaks. John Podesta had expressed the opinion in internal emails that the Catholic religion was a "falsification of faith" and that it was interesting for conservatives, among other things, because it represented "completely outdated gender relations." In order to overcome the resistance of the Church to the "ban on contraception," John Podesta 2012 supported organizations that were to change the Church from within.

According to Cardinal Dolan, these statements are "condescending and offensive" to Catholics.

The Cardinal added that "within ten minutes" an apology would have come if Podesta's comments  had been referring to the Jewish or the Muslim community.

Even Bill Donahue Can't Stomach Cardinal's Degenerate Parade

Edit: the parade is so bad even a professional mourner like Bill Donahue is moved to complain about something worth complaining about. That groups promoting sexual immorality are invited while those defending the unborn are banned.

Notice this article ends with Cardinal Dolan complaining about secular forces which, like it or not, he serves when he allows the parade to be abused by the proponents of gender ideology.  It's so typical of the Register.

Complain though the Cardinal might about secularism, he's still caved to the consensus and is causing scandal by allowing organizations that promote sexual immorality in what is supposed to be a Catholic parade. Is he not the Gay Grand Marshal?

NEW YORK — When the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off at 11:30am Thursday, two homosexual groups will be among the hundreds of organizations marching under their own banners.
No pro-life organizations, however, will be marching in the annual parade down Fifth Avenue.

“You have a gay group in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade allowed to march, but the pro-life people are banned? The whole thing is perverse,” said William Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.

Priest Caught Soliciting in Public Restrooms Promoted to Head Catholic TV

NEW YORK (ChurchMilitant.com) - In 2007, New York priest Fr. Gary Mead was arrested in a gay sex sting along with 19 other men. Today Mead is the director of Instructional Television (ITV) for the archdiocese of New York, and sources confirm he owes his position to the vicar general, Msgr. Greg Mustaciuolo — in recent news for his alleged cover-up of Fr. Peter Miqueli's embezzlement of parish funds and gay-for-pay scandal.

ITV offices are on the grounds of St. Joseph's Seminary, in the Dunwoodie neighborhood of Yonkers, New York.

2007 police records show Mead — who was working at St. Gregory Barbarigo parish in Garnerville at the time — was found performing lewd acts in a public restroom off Interstate 684, in well-heeled Westchester County — a well-known haunt for gay cruising — where he solicited sex from an undercover policeman and tried to fondle him. He was arrested and charged with loitering and forcible touching.

CMTV: What's Really Going on with Cardinal Dolan's Archdiocese

Edit: basically, this priest is affirming that there is an aberrosexual mafia that runs the diocese with the knowledge of Cardinal Dolan.  The priest, very frankly interviewed below,  implicates Cardinal Edward O'Brien as being part of the cabal where he is known as the "master":

Michael: He was rector of the seminary.
Bob: He was the rector of the seminary, and in fact these relationships of the people we've been talking about here, which would be Peter Miqueli, Sorgie, Mustaciuolo, Weber, and in fact Cdl. O'Brien, these were all relationships that were forged back in the 1980s at Dunwoodie in St. Joseph Seminary. In fact, it might be shocking to hear, but these men regularly had conversations that I was privy to where they jokingly and openly recollected masochistic activity and parties and things that they did back in the seminary.
Michael: You were in the presence, you were personally in the presence of these people as they were recounting stories of sexual activities with each other while they were in seminary?
Bob: Yes, yes.
Michael: You heard that personally?
Bob: Yes, yes. The presence of Cdl. O'Brien was not there, but they were all talking of him, in fact, Cdl. O'Brien was referred to as the "master." He was the "master." Whatever that meant, only they know.

Cardinal Dolan Takes Pope's Cue to Promote Gender Ideology

Edit: Cardinal Dolan is a little too eager to win acceptance for an unholy manner of life.
Recently, the Cardinal was caught covering for one of his fellows, and being cavalier about the faithful laitys' complaints against a reprobate priest who was apparently thieving from church funds to pay for debauchery and wickedness for about a decade.
Complaints by the laity are finally being heard and it looks like the Archdiocese, if not Dolan himself, is being blackmailed by the priest in question, because he witness a child being sexually abused. There's a lot more to this.
As ChurchMilitant observes, Dolan is more than eager to fire and reprimand those who are either traditional, or concerned about what's going on in his diocese.
Clearly, he should resign.
His support for gender ideology is reaching the international press:
Pope Francis says the issue of gay marriage should be studied and not dismissed out-of-hand, a senior Roman Catholic cardinal has revealed.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the outspoken archbishop of New York, said Pope Francis had told him: “Rather than quickly condemn them, let's just ask the questions as to why that has appealed to certain people."
Archbishop Dolan stressed that the Pope had not shifted the Catholic Church’s position on same-sex unions.

Cardinal Dolan Driven Out of NYC by Radtrads?

Edit: color me incredulous, but I doubt the Remnant and the concerned citizens of Mother Church had much to do with it. Cardinal Dolan HAD been critical of Pope Francis in past. We'll see

Anyway, it's fascinating and a bit unprecedented. It's rare indeed that a Cardinal is forced into retirement.

Update: I guess this is satire. Wishful thinking...

[Remnant] Apparently the latest prelate to bite the dust in a contest of parochial will is Cardinal Archbishop Timothy Dolan. He has resigned in submission according to Canon 401, Article 2 in the Code of Canon Law in an April 21 statement, released at noon local time. It was a great blow to liberal neo-Catholics and especially saddened the New York sodomitical community who are active in five Manhattan parishes. Cardinal Dolan was isolated, targeted and ultimately brought down by a militant “Rad-Trad” group who sponsored an open Letter to Pope Francis demanding the Cardinal Archbishop’s replacement. The Letter addressed to the Pope appeared in the New York Times and was signed by 1,000 prominent Catholics from across the Five Boroughs. Cardinal Dolan a favorite of the Democrat Liberal politicians for not interfering with abortion and gay marriage legislation was seen by the conservative traditionalists as a doctrinal sell-out for favors from his leftist friends in high places.

Article 2 of Canon 401, according to the Vatican’s website, refers to a situation when “a diocesan bishop who has become less able to fulfill his office because of ill health or some other grave cause is earnestly requested to present his resignation from office.” Cardinal Dolan’s resignation will take effect immediately, and although he will still be a Cardinal, he will no longer lead a diocese. It is up to Pope Francis to choose his successor. The brief Vatican statement gave no word as to what Cardinal Dolan will do following his resignation.

Cardinal Dolan came to New York with some unsettled sex scandal baggage he picked up in Milwaukee but, depositions were taken and it appears things have settled down in that regard. The lawyers deposing Cardinal Dolan represent hundreds of people who say they were sexually molested by priests in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, which he led for seven years before his appointment as archbishop of New York in 2009. The lawyers want to know when Cardinal Dolan, as archbishop of Milwaukee, learned of allegations against certain priests, and how quickly he made those allegations public.

Voris Assaulted by Aberro-Grandmarshal's Goons at "St. Patrick's Day" Parade

Edit: we can just imagine Cardinal Dolan drawing a forefinger across his neck and motioning his lavender thugs to usher Catholic journalist Michael Voris out of the press room.

More to come.

Criticism of Pope Francis From the USA -- "Pope Maker" Dolan: Absence of Managerial Skills and Leadership Skills

(New York) The North American bishops, it they were heard just after the Conclave last March, were decisive for the election of Pope Francis. Although they were not the "forgers" of the new pontificate, but their voices and their weight were ultimately decisive. Just from the United States, there now comes the first direct and surprisingly harsh criticism of Pope Francis. Expression of this is found in an interviews of the Archbishop of New York and chairman of the U.S. Bishops Conference, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Archbishop of Philadelphia, Charles Chaput. Cardinal Dolan talks about a "lack of managerial and leadership quality," Cardinal Chaput of a certain dissatisfaction with the election of Cardinal Bergoglio among the circles of faithful Catholics toward the Pope.

Several cardinals of the United States were considered "papabili". However, in a joint statement just before start of the Conclave, a novelty, they announced their collective rejection, founded on the unexpected withdrawal because of possible "damage" to the Church, as an American pope could in other parts of the world result in inappropriate identification of the Church, or completely, of Christianity with the world power USA.

American "Pope Maker" First Critic of Pope Francis

Accordingly, the American media celebrated the New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan Cardinal on his return to the conclave, as "Pope Maker". Cardinal Dolan is not the "creator" of the candidacy of his Argentine confrere. This is enough already back in the conclave in 2005. The actual promoters were known as Cardinal Martini 2005 and in 2013, Cardinal Lehmann, to name just two. In contrast to the penultimate Conclave of 2013, the alliance was much broader. Overcoming a two-thirds majority in an election without strong candidates or favorites is no easy task. Cardinal Dolan was considered the "Pope Maker" because the pivoting of the North American Pope voters (at least the majority), ultimately brought the decisive turning point in the conclave to the Argentine.

Well, surprisingly, criticism of Pope Francis comes straight from the U.S.. It is the first clear vocal criticism because so far the Cardinals and local churches had at least appeared to be carried away by the media cheering for the new pontificate. Cheering, which must not be forgotten, was especially one last scold of Pope Benedict XVI. The published opinion presented of the Church in a way as an acclamation, as a Pope had not in any case ever been. The reaction was inevitable: Francis Pope turns out to be quite the deliberate contrast to Pope Benedict XVI, as a connoisseur of amazing acts corresponding to media psychology and media-friendly.. The German-speaking bishops are more in the media's grip, as recently showed the incident in Würzburg seminary. There has only been a bishop who is not under the media's under control: the St. Pölten's Bishop Kurt Krenn. Bishop Krenn used his media fluency to convey Catholic doctrine, where his brother bishops were sometimes rather silent. For this he is not cheered in the media. Rather, he was their favorite bogeyman, but they could neither diminish his bravery in handling media or his intellectual stature. Whether Pope Francis will succeed in this. So far, the media cheering has exhausted itself more on trivialities of modern media icons, as they produce show business, sports, and sometimes even politics.

Cardinal Dolan has "seen little" of "Managerial Skills and Leadership Qualities" so Far

The criticism from the United States is therefore a remarkable indicator of the papacy begun in March. Cardinal Dolan brought them out in an interview with John Allen, a Vaticanist for the Old Liberal National Catholic Reporter. He was personally very direct, limited to specific issues, but more on a seemingly technical aspects, but this is only at first glance. "We also wanted someone with good managerial skills and leadership quality, and until now, little has been seen of it." With these words, the New York Archbishop described the pontificate of Pope Francis till then. One could speak of a frontal criticism. Cardinal Dolan has expressed his criticism already a few weeks ago on the brink of World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro. The National Catholic Reporter published the Inteview on the 24th of July on the internet.

Nearly five months after the election of a pope one of the key figures of the conclave declared that Pope Francis has not been sufficiently a "manager" and not enough of a "leader". A Pope must be a "manager", he should have "leadership".

Cardinal Dolan: After Summer Break He is Finally to Appoint a New Secretary of State

In his concrete criticism, Cardinal Dolan limited himself to the occupation of the State Secretariat, continuing on to the top of the Roman Curia and the same under Pope Francis. On the eve of the conclave, dismissal of Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone was loudly called for by various parties. Cardinal Bertone was among the most important employees of Pope Benedict XVI. in the governance of the Church. He was not unjustly blamed for many mishaps that made the German Pope and his many opponents within the church a target of the media enjoyment for persistent accusation.

Cardinal Dolan then said he expects a change at the top of the State Secretariat before the summer break. And further: "I expect that concrete after the summer break a more concrete signal towards changing the administration."

Archbishop Chaput: Some Dissatisfaction with Election of Pope Francis Faithful Circles

The criticism by the President of the U.S. bishops' conference does not go beyond that. He remained therefore open to where and how criticism would appear from other American bishops to the official leadership of Pope Francis. At the same time, however, it was loud and slightly accentuated. To make the point he brought up the Archbishop of Philadelphia, Charles Chaput, the cardinal contender when his predecessor Cardinal Justin Francis Rigali reached his attained age of 80 in April of 2015. Archbishop Chaput, one of the most important American church leaders, is considered to be faithful and connected to tradition. He expressed also in an interview with the National Catholic Reporter , "a certain dissatisfaction" over the election of Cardinal Bergoglio to Pope, which was particularly noticeable among the faithful, loyal to Rome.

Cardinal Dolan did not take up the criticism of conservative or traditionally associated parts of the Church, about about liturgical changes by Pope Francis, the controversial "style" of the Pope, a certain ambivalence of the Pope to the major bioethical challenges of our time, homosexuality and the aggressive gender ideology. Cardinal Dolan was limited in his criticism on the issue of the "Leadership of Office". The Vatican expert Andrea Tornielli says that behind, a "typical American concern" hides: the call for efficient "managers". But that is likely to fall short. Cardinal Dolan is president of the Bishops' Conference, he measured his criticism well, considered and limited to one aspect of the risk of no special media attention, but this is directed toward the Pope in Rome.

Zeal For Action in Vatican bank - for incidental Catholic Church

Pope Francis Pope has shown zeal to date, especially in the context of the Vatican bank IOR and the Economic Affairs of the Holy See. That got a lot of applause, regarding the downright legendary banking institution. The use astonishment: the botched appointment of a personal representative in the person of the controversial Bishop Battista Ricca, the appointment of three commissions for the control and monitoring of the bank, of which at least one was but then too much occupied and another are seemingly doubtful reshuffles at the top of the foundation and finally a private motu proprio with some new rules. The Vatican Bank according to some conspiracy theorists who may have some beads of sweat on their foreheads and also some church enemies who dream of "legendary" riches of the Church. In reality, the bank is considered to be at 10 billion euros on their deposits, in international comparison, a small bank. Apportioned to the number of Catholics worldwide, there are just six or seven euros in the bank from each. Financial and economic matters are now but not really the most important affairs of the Catholic Church, not even the second most important, which is why this whole effort has but surprised some observers.

Only John Paul II Appointed a Secretary immediately - Progressive Disillusionment

Cardinal Bertone, focused on the criticism of Cardinal Dolan to Pope Francis, will be 79 in December. A change is therefore coming 0one way or another. No pope has ever exchanged the Cardinal Secretary of State immediately after his election. There are other rhythms in the Church. Pope Pius XII. appointed none. As former Secretary of State, the Pope was his own Secretary of State. Pope Paul VI. kept to his predecessor from John XXIII. "Inherited" for six years. John Paul I did not make any personnel decisions due to his unexpected death. Only John Paul II appointed a new Secretary of State within a few months. However, Cardinal Jean Villot had died. Pope Paul VI took over, five months after the beginning of pontificate, so probably a quick dismissal of the French bearer and Council Secretary of the Polish Pope must remain speculation.

As a Jesuit Pope Francis takes the time necessary to make an informed decisions. He looking for his information and then decides alone. This is evidenced by his adherence to the appointment of Msgr Ricca for domestic prelates of the Vatican Bank, despite becoming known by his explosive and inglorious past. Previous decisions can not be returned. What are the announced in the media and emphasized by many cardinals who resided diocesan bishops demanded reform of the Curia is concerned, you will have to wait for the first meeting of the new eight-member council of Cardinals. The meeting is scheduled for early October. In progressive circles, after the initial euphoria, there is a slogan, not to place too high expectations for the new pontificate. The progressive religious women were the first who waved the Jubilee flags.

Cardinal Dolan Finally Admits to Paying for Birth Control and Abortion

Edit: he's been denying a lot of things and admitting them, but seems to get away with it.
The archdiocese of New York has been paying for the supply of contraception and abortion services to thousands of its unionized employees for over a decade according to a new report.
Some 3,000 full-time workers at ArchCare, also known as the Catholic Health Care System, receive coverage for contraception and voluntary pregnancy termination through their membership in 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, a powerful health care workers union.
The New York Times has reported that the diocese headed by America’s leading cleric Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan has been reluctantly funding contraception and abortion coverage for years.

Cardinal Dolan Gives Sacrilegious Communion to Biden?

Eternal damnation can be funny...

Edit: so much for all that talk about the evils of abortion.
Vice President Joe Biden attended mass and received communion on Sunday at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York where the mass was celebrated by Cardinal Timothy Dolan.
At a time when the administration is being sued by Dolan and the Catholic Bishop’s Conference over the Obama health care provision on birth control, the meeting was seen as an attempt to create a new dialogue.
An Irish American Catholic, Biden receiving communion was also seen as significant. Dolan’s predecessor Cardinal Edward Egan refused to give communion to those who differed with the church on the abortion issue.

Cardinal Dolan Questioned Before Conclave

Edit: in fine agitprop fashion, the media enters the usual slurs. If the occurrence of a crime, which happens in every other aspect of society at a greater rate than it happens within the Catholic Church, has happened on the watch of this Cardinal or that one, taints his career, perhaps that should go for the media as well?

The enemy is powerful and isn’t interested in anything less than complete subjugation of the Catholic Church to the world. It doesn’t matter that Cardinal Dolan has made conciliatory, if cowardly, gestures at St. Francis Xavier Parish in New York, the enemy only regards concessions as weakness. It doesn’t matter whether or not Cardinal Dolan has many positions which are inconsistent with a census Catholicus, or that he has given aid and comfort to the enemy’s political aims during political elections, he still represents the Catholic Faith, however humanly.

Cardinal Dolan, the archbishop of New York, has become the latest cardinal to be questioned over his handling of sex abuse by priests and victims in Ireland, US and Belgium.

Of the 116 cardinals who will gather beneath Michelangelo’s frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, several are embroiled in controversies connected to the Church’s systemic failure to tackle sex abuse against children by paedophile priests.

The question marks over the cardinals’ management of sex abuse cases are an embarrassment for the Holy See, just as Benedict prepares to resign the papacy next Thursday.

Link to Telegraph...

Someone else who really needs no introduction is Cardinal Mahony, who, despite his own moral challenges and failures in presenting the Catholic Faith throughout the years, is drawing support from his fellow Old Liberal Bishops, in this case, Cardinal Levada.

Levada Thinks Mahony should Vote for Pope

The former archbishop of San Francisco said Monday that Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony has a rightful place among Vatican officials who will choose the next pope, even though Mahony has been battered in recent days by disclosures about his role in covering up clergy sex abuse.

The comments by Cardinal William Levada, a high-ranking Vatican official until recently, came in the wake of a grass-roots campaign to shame Mahony into refraining from participating because of his role protecting sexually abusive priests.

Mahony left for Rome over the weekend after recently released church documents showed he had covered up for other priests who raped and molested children.

Link to ABC News…. With breathtaking shamelessness, Cardinal Mahony writes on his personal blog, as the anti-Catholic ABC writes:

On Monday, Mahony took to social media and his own personal blog to write about persecution and forgiving one's enemies. He said he has a special prayer group for people who "cannot forgive me for my past hurts and offenses," including members of the media, attorneys, protesters and those who "hate and despise me.”

In order for forgiveness to be given, doesn’t there have to be penance as well as contrition?

St. Thomas Aquinas writes in the Summa:

I answer that, As stated above (Objection 2; 84, 10, ad 4), to repent is to deplore something one has done. Now it has been stated above (84, 9) that sorrow or sadness is twofold. First, it denotes a passion of the sensitive appetite, and in this sense penance is not a virtue, but a passion. Secondly, it denotes an act of the will, and in this way it implies choice, and if this be right, it must, of necessity, be an act of virtue. For it is stated in Ethic. ii, 6 that virtue is a habit of choosing according to right reason. Now it belongs to right reason than one should grieve for a proper object of grief as one ought to grieve, and for an end for which one ought to grieve. And this is observed in the penance of which we are speaking now; since the penitent assumes a moderated grief for his past sins, with the intention of removing them. Hence it is evident that the penance of which we are speaking now, is either a virtue or the act of a virtue.
Meanwhile, the German Bishops continue their assault on the Catholic Church in their anti-Roman trajectory by “sparking a debate” about the use of an abortifacient against rape.
